Oh So Brave
Afraid Of

Color Oh So Brave

Oh So Brave may be a little cowardly, but at least he can be colorful too.

How do you think a dragon should look? Color Oh So Brave and his friends any way you like. Don't forget about patterns. Stripes, cheques, polka dots, plaids, and paisleys might make these creatures feel much bolder!

What is Oh So Brave afraid of?

Poor Oh So Brave! He's cowering in terror from something, but what?

Draw the horrible beasties you think might be frightening poor Oh So. Are they huge drooling goons? Or octopoids wtih slippery sucking tentacles? Maybe he's menaced by hundreds of tiny spiders with glowing eyes and pointy teeth!
Or worst of all, Oh So could be terrified by fluffy kittens. You decide!

Roaring
Hand

What should be in Oh So Brave's hand?

Who should Oh So be talking to in this picture? Is it a family of moles, a nest of birds, a bowl of goldfish? Perhaps it's a magic glowing ball or a wedge of smelly cheese.

Think hard about what you should draw. What would be prettiest? What would be most surprising? See if you can come up with something nobody else would even think of!

Oh So Brave Certificate of Roaring!

The bearer of this certifcate shall be recognized for mastery in one or more of the arts of roaring.

Finger Puppets
Dragon Puppet

Make this wonderful paper dragon puppet.

All you need is a pair of scissors, a little tape, and something to color with. All the instructions are printed right on the sheet but will fold away so you can't see them on your puppet. You can color him like Oh So Brave, or any way you like! If you're feeling ambitious, you can even add things like glitter and googly eyes.

Finger Puppets!

Give your Dragon Puppet someone to play with. Retell the Oh So Brave story or make up your own adventure.

First, color these six animals however you think they should look. Next, cut out the little fellows with their lower band attached. Finally, wrap the band around your finger and stick it together with tape. Now, you're ready to play!

Next, cut out the six little fellows with their lower band attached. Finally, wrap the band around your finger and stick it together with tape. Now you're ready for a thumping, bumping, rousing, romping, roaring party!

And Even More Finger Puppets!

First, make the bird finger puppet. You need the bird! Then, you have four lovely blank spaces to draw your own animals. Make them happy. Make them angry. Make them ROAR!

Next, cut out the little fellows with their lower band attached, wrap the band around your finger, and stick it together with tape. Introduce them to your other animals and then let's have a show!
